GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and provides leadership to achieve the company’s short and long range business development objectives in product marketing segments.
2. Creates and executes plans based on consumer, product category, and competitive insights that are aligned with the strategic role of the customer and focus on driving profitable growth for accessories.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Achieve/exceed budgeted sales and gross profit for assigned categories as established on an annual basis.
2. Research, analyze and recommend accessory product improvements and features based on market demand, including development of new products and packaging.
3. Develop proprietary and exclusive product offerings within product category.
4. Provide competitive analysis for features, price, and distribution of accessory product; pricing and margin analysis, and sales trend analysis.
5. Maintain product data for computer and catalog, including designation of available options.
6. Prepare monthly product updates for approval and distribution to sales / marketing departments.
7. Develop special sales programs – new products, slow moving and discontinued inventory, seasonal specials. Provide sales/promotion program evaluation and reporting/
8. Provide assistance in the preparation and execution of all marketing projects affecting accessory products.
9. Provide data to prepare, update, and control forecasts covering projected new-business sales.
10. Develop marketing plans, business plans, action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, and action assignments.
11. Assist Conn-Selmer’s Sales team and dealers with sales, sales training activities, and product knowledge development. Develops effective communication process to inform dealers of current and relevant Company sales policies and programs.
12. Provide technical support and product assistance to customer service
13. Attend National and State/MEA trade shows as well as other industry meetings of a Regional or National nature for the accessories product group.
14. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners

PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor degree with emphasis in marketing
2. 5 – 7 years marketing and/or sales management experience
3. Entreprenurial, forward-thinking, spirit
4. Ability to play instrument(s) in category of responsibility
5. Ability to work in a team environment.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
7. Ability to analyze and organize recommendations from wide range of sources.
8. Proven interpersonal skills, written and oral communication and initiative.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to travel independently (25% - 35% travel including internationally)
2. Sedentary motion
3. Repetitive upper body movement – keyboard and monitor use
